Devs United Games, well-known for their hit Quest-exclusive title Real VR Fishing, is finally preparing to cast their popular VR fishing experience into the waters of PC VR headsets. Fishing enthusiasts on the PC can look forward to this exciting development hitting SteamVR in early December.
For fans of the Quest version, you’ll be pleased to know that the game’s arrival on SteamVR comes with the same pricing structure and gameplay features. All downloadable content, including the US West Coast DLC, US East Coast DLC, and both parts of the Japan DLC, will be ready to go on Steam as soon as the game launches.
The base game itself is packed with 40 distinct fishing spots and over 150 fish species to catch. If you decide to delve into the additional DLC packs, you’ll find yourself with 95 extra fishing locations to explore and more than 300 fish species to reel in, offering a truly expansive angling adventure.
While the Quest version allows both solo play and up to four-player multiplayer action, there’s a slight catch with the Steam release: cross-play multiplayer won’t be part of this package. So, PC players will have to stick to their own waters rather than mingling with anglers from Quest and Pico platforms.
That said, the Steam version does come with some enticing perks. Expect features like built-in YouTube and web browsing, monthly updates, and the ability to customize your aquarium, adding a personal touch to your fishing experience.
Real VR Fishing initially made waves on the Quest back in late 2019 and quickly climbed the ranks to become the platform’s favorite fishing game, boasting an impressive 4.6 out of 5 stars from over 7,200 users.
If you’re ready to embark on your virtual fishing journey on PC, you can add Real VR Fishing to your Steam wishlist now, ahead of its eagerly awaited debut in early December.
