This week has brought a series of exciting updates to the Nintendo Switch eShop, including some beloved SNES classics, fresh tunes for the Nintendo Music app, enticing sales, and a variety of new game releases to explore.
Starting with additions to the Switch Online library, we’re gifted four classics from Koei’s storied SNES catalog. If you’re a fan of strategic warfare, you’ll want to check out Nobunaga’s Ambition and its sequel, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Lord of Darkness. These games transport you to Japan’s Sengoku period, where you strategize to unite the land by cunning or by combat.
Venturing further east, we have Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV Wall of Fire, a 1994 release that’s set in China’s turbulent historical era. This game challenges you to conquer and consolidate power by leading your chosen faction through diplomatic maneuvers and epic battles.
Adding to our journey through history is Uncharted Waters: New Horizons. Set in Europe during the Age of Discovery, it invites players to sail the seas, exchange goods, and command fleets while uncovering far-off lands and treasures.
The Nintendo Music app also has something fresh for the ears, with the release of 23 tracks from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Although this is just a portion of the soundtrack, it’s a delightful taste of more to come, with the rest expected later this year.
On top of these updates, the eShop is brimming with new titles this week. Highlights include Which Way Up: Galaxy Games. Fans can look forward to our upcoming review and can catch an exclusive developer interview on our recent episode of the Pure Nintendo Podcast.
So, are there any games or tunes that caught your eye this week? We’d love to hear what you’re diving into on your Switch. As always, there’s plenty to discover on the eShop, from timeless classics to modern adventures.
