Mark your calendars for March 26, when version 2.2, Tangled Truth in Inverted Tower, hits the scene. Expect a slew of new characters, environments, gameplay enhancements, and much more. Plus, there’s a little bonus: complete the Main Quest and snag a free 5-Star weapon!

### Unravel the Mystery: New Main Quest

Let’s dive into the heart of version 2.2. In our ongoing saga, young Cartethyia and the elusive Imperator are enveloped in secrets still to be unearthed. The storyline continues with new quests titled The Maiden, The Defier, and The Death Crier. Rover’s journey kicks off at Beohr Waters, tucked away behind Porto-Veno Castle. From there, the adventure leads to Avinoleum, a gravity-defying zone with mysteries aplenty. As you unravel Rinascita’s secrets and shed light on Sentinel’s past, keep your eye out for the coveted 5-Star Sword, Bloodpact’s Pledge, awaiting those who embark on this journey.

### Introducing Cantarella & Rover: Aero

Joining the roster in version 2.2 is Cantarella, the enigmatic 5-Star Resonator from the Fisalia family. Renowned as the 36th Lead, her combat style is as unique as it is lethal, characterized by deep-sea and poisonous motifs. Equipped with a Rectifier, Cantarella’s umbrella launches toxic jellyfish, allowing her to amass a special energy, Trance. This powers her ability to execute Mirage, transporting players to an aquatic dreamscape. When the Forte Gauge is tapped, she not only bolsters her attack but heals allies and can even freeze enemies in their tracks. With Resonance Liberation, her coordinated attacks persist longer, and her Outro Skill boosts the damage potential of all incoming Resonators.

This update also lets Rover unlock a brand-new attribute: Aero. As Rover: Aero, you’ll wield a one-handed sword, dash through the air, and devastate enemies. Meet certain conditions during battle, and your aerial prowess further allows team-wide healing. Transform any Negative Status effects on foes into the potent Aero Erosion Effect, and with enough battle energy, call forth a titanic sword from the skies to wreak havoc on your target. Ending with Resonance Liberation has Rover raining Aero Damage on adversaries while simultaneously restoring your squad’s health.

### A New Tale: Cantarella’s Story

Also joining this version is Cantarella’s Companion Story, aptly titled A Fleeting Night’s Dream. This narrative invites you to Egla Town’s Night of Remembrance. Led by a cryptic letter from the Ghost Girl, Rover finds a girl in a red hat ready to unveil secrets buried at Porto-Veno Castle. Accompany Cantarella on this voyage to the Sea of Ghosts, and uncover the long-hidden story that awaits.

### Exploring New Frontiers

Prepare to venture into Avinoleum, an awe-inspiring region that once stood as a prominent seminary in Ragunna. Enshrouded by the looming presence of Sentinel, this area mirrors the tumult of past calamities, like the lingering effects of the Dark Tide. With gravity turned on its head, the region introduces a fresh layer of strategic gameplay challenges. Master the Gravity Adjustment mechanics, leverage Gravity Calibrators, and invert gravity’s pull as needed to navigate this intriguing realm.

As of 2024, Wuthering Waves celebrated an incredible milestone—reaching 30 million downloads within its first month post-launch, collecting accolades along the way, such as the PS Blog’s Players’ Choice award. This remarkable success is just the beginning.
