Take-Two Interactive has indicated that it anticipates backing the Nintendo Switch 2, though specific details remain under wraps for now.
The renowned publisher has already brought a range of popular titles to the original Switch, including BioShock: The Collection, Borderlands Legendary Collection, XCOM 2 Collection, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, and others like New Tales from the Borderlands, LEGO 2K Drive, NBA 2K25, and Sid Meier’s Civilization VII.
During a recent earnings call for Q3 2025, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick commented on their consistent partnership with Nintendo. “We’ve always had a solid relationship with Nintendo, jumping in whenever it suited a particular game’s release,” he noted. “In the past, Nintendo platforms were more targeted towards younger gamers, and our games reflected that. But now, with the Switch—and possibly the Switch 2—the platform has broad appeal. You might have noticed that Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is now on Switch, and while there’s nothing specific we can share at the moment, we fully expect to support the Switch 2,” Zelnick added.
Keep an eye out for more insights about Nintendo’s next big thing during a Nintendo Direct presentation, focused on the Switch 2. It’s set to air at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET / 2 p.m. BST / 3 p.m. CEST on Wednesday, April 2.
The global release of the Nintendo Switch 2 is slated for 2025, though the exact date is yet to be announced.
