The PlayStation Store has kicked off its Spring Sale, offering attractive discounts on several top-rated PS4 and PS5 titles. One standout in this sale is a highly praised kung-fu action game that was a contender for Best Fighting Game at The Game Awards 2022.
Right now, gamers can snag the Sifu Deluxe Edition for just $19.99, a significant drop from its usual $49.99. This edition includes both PS4 and PS5 versions, making it a great deal for players eager to dive into this immersive experience. However, this sale won’t last forever—the offer is set to expire on April 24 at 2:49 A.M. PT.
Sifu lets you embark on a quest for vengeance, allowing you to choose either a male or female character to pursue the assassins responsible for your family’s demise. Armed with a mysterious amulet, you’ll rise again each time you fall, though each resurrection comes at the cost of aging. The game’s description sums it up: while you have no allies and face many foes, the power of the amulet keeps you in play—albeit with consequences.
What sweetens the deal for the Deluxe Edition are the additional bonuses it brings. Buyers will get the Digital Original Soundtrack, an Official Sifu Digital Artbook, a Photomode Cinematic Pack, plus some specially designed outfits exclusive to this edition. Note, however, that these extras are only included with the Deluxe Edition; the Standard Edition remains priced at $39.99.
Since its release by Sloclap in 2022, Sifu has been widely appreciated, earning an impressive average score of 81 on Metacritic, based on 79 critic reviews. The game has been recognized with several award nominations, including a nod for PlayStation Game of the Year at the Golden Joystick Awards.
Looking ahead, Sifu is also getting a live-action treatment by Netflix, with T.S. Nowlin set to pen the script. Production involves Chad Stahelski and 87Eleven Entertainment, alongside producers Jason Spitz, Alex Young, Dimitri M. Johnson, and Mike Goldberg. While a director has not been announced yet, anticipation for the adaptation continues to build.
