Intel XeSS technology has really come a long way, now featuring in over 150 games, and excitingly, more are on their way. As we take a closer look, we see XeSS 2 debuting, adding an intriguing layer to the super-sampling landscape.
Back when Intel first stepped into the discrete GPU arena with the Arc Alchemist series, XeSS was their front-running technology. It’s been over two years since that initial launch, and while XeSS 2 is still finding its footing, XeSS 1.0 has already been integrated into numerous games. Just recently, Intel shared the good news that over 150 titles now support XeSS, with additional games on the horizon.
If you’re curious about which games have embraced XeSS tech, the list includes many major AAA titles. However, it’s important to acknowledge that XeSS is still playing catch-up to AMD’s FSR and NVIDIA’s DLSS when it comes to market dominance.
In a recent tweet from Intel Gaming, they celebrated this milestone: “We’ve hit the mark on 150+ games with #XeSS support, with more on the way! Experience peak gaming for yourself with Intel XeSS AI upscaling today.”
Though Intel isn’t quite at the level of its competitors yet, the landscape is indeed looking more promising. It should be noted that the majority of these supported games feature XeSS 1 versions. As of now, only F1 2024 and Marvel Rivals have adopted XeSS 2, but more titles are set to join the list soon, such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Killing Floor 3.
A handful of games are also starting to support Intel’s XeSS Frame Generation, but it’s not as widespread as FSR and DLSS Frame Gen. It’s important to note that XeSS 2 and Frame Generation require Intel’s Arc Battlemage GPUs, which currently include the Arc B580 and Arc B570. Unfortunately, these are not widely available yet.
