This week, we dove into our Top Five Games of 2024.

If you’re not acquainted with the RFN tradition, let me explain: there are practically no rules. The general guidelines are that the games should come from 2024 and be on Nintendo platforms. However, even these aren’t set in stone. Ideally, the game should have been played this year, but exceptions have been made, with even some titles from other years sneaking their way into discussions.

The guidelines are so forgiving that it’s a personal list rather than a collective decision. Trying to agree on a unified Top Five would be impossible under these conditions.

Of course, we do find common ground sometimes, with two lists sharing the top spot. But I’ll bet you’ll never guess which game it is. Someone might try to convince us they knew, but I assure you, they’re probably just pulling our leg.
