Today, EA Sports FC 25 has just released an exciting update on January 16, coinciding with the much-anticipated announcement of the Team of the Year squads. Interestingly, this seems to be the only major development in the gaming world at the moment.
If you participated in the voting for this year’s Ultimate Team (UT) Team of the Year, hopefully, you managed to cast your votes in time. With this latest update, EA has certainly given you a compelling reason to dive back into FC 25.
In the tweets below, you’ll find visuals that showcase the finalized TOTY XIs for both men’s and women’s teams – a standard inclusion at this point. The graphics effectively highlight each player, so I won’t go through the entire list here. You can easily find all the details if you’re interested.
Starting January 17, these coveted cards will begin appearing in the game. The attackers will take the lead, followed by midfielders on January 19, and then defenders and goalkeepers on January 21. Expect the full TOTY roster to join the Ultimate Team pool from January 23 to January 31, with a special 12th player for both teams being introduced on January 24 to round things out.
In addition to this, EA has rolled out an update labeled as a “gameplay refresh.” They’ve described it as “the most significant mid-season gameplay overhaul we’ve ever made based on your feedback.” No pressure there, right?
For more details, you can find the full update notes, but here are the main highlights:
– Significant changes to core gameplay elements such as passing, shooting, goalkeeping, and defending.
– Resolved issues where defenders often caught up with dribbling players.
– Enhanced fluidity in offensive gameplay, allowing for smoother ball movement.
– Reduced tacklebacks and AI-driven interceptions.
