Getting impatient while waiting to play “Dune Awakening”? The good news is you won’t have to twiddle your thumbs much longer. Mark your calendar for a free open beta coming up from May 9 to May 12.
To dive into the beta, you can either add the game to your wishlist before May 9 or snag one of the numerous beta codes the team will distribute during the event. It’s not completely open to everyone, but there’s a decent shot at getting in.
Initially, the game was set to release on May 15, but Funcom decided to delay it slightly to fine-tune the final version. During the beta, you’ll explore the first two regions, offering around 20 hours of gameplay. There’s plenty to do, from delving into Research Facilities to testing early abilities of various classes, and even engaging in some PvP at ship crash sites.
