Back in July, Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable made its debut on Quest in Early Access. Initially, players could experience a single mission (or ‘chapter’) along with a few unlockable blades, giving fans a taste with a promise of more content to come. Fast forward to now, and developer UNIVRS has rolled out the ‘Complete Edition,’ showcasing four chapters in total.
When we first tested it in July, the game felt more like a tech demo. It had the core gameplay, sure, but it was limited to just one chapter. There was also an infinite wave mode thrown in, along with a scoreboard to compete on.
The Complete Edition now invites players back in with chapters three and four, as well as an Epilogue. Plus, there’s an epic showdown against an Armored Titan boss that players will not want to miss.
What’s really exciting is the introduction of co-op play, allowing you to tackle every chapter with a friend by your side.
In addition to launching the full game, UNIVRS has hinted at a ‘Thunder Spear Unlock Event’ set to occur in January, described by the studio as a “global challenge.” They’ve also announced plans for a free update due in 2025, as noted on the game’s website.
While we initially mentioned the game felt a bit “rough” in our early hands-on experience this year, it seems to have struck a chord with the fans. As of now, Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable holds a commendable 4.5 out of 5 rating on the Horizon Store.
If you snagged the Early Access edition, you’ll find Part 2 available as a free download. Newcomers have the option to purchase Part 1 for $8 solo, Part 2 for $12 (with Part 1 required), or go for the bundle of both parts for $20. The game is compatible with Quest 2, Quest 3/S, and Quest Pro devices.
