In the gaming world, Xbox Game Pass has kicked off the year rather well. January didn’t start with a bang, leaving subscribers waiting. However, the month was salvaged by the timely arrivals of Sniper Elite: Resistance, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector. February was more of the same, beginning slowly but then picking up momentum with Avowed, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, and Watch Dogs Legion, all of which came through in the nick of time.
Looking forward to March, we might see a repeat of this pattern. So far, the only confirmed addition to the Xbox Game Pass lineup is Atomfall, slated for a March 27 release. Atomfall is a survival game by Rebellion that appears promising, but it’s unlikely to hold subscribers’ attention single-handedly. It would definitely be delightful to see a few more exciting titles make an appearance on the service this month as well.
One game that would be fantastic on the service is the RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition, set to make its Xbox debut on March 20, 2025. Initially launched on PC and Nintendo Switch in 2020, this version of the 2004 classic includes the “Soaked!” and “Wild!” expansions, breathing new life into the game. Considering Planet Coaster hasn’t been on Game Pass since 2021, the addition of RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition would be a welcome surprise.
Then there’s the Resident Evil 4 Remake, which fans have eagerly awaited following the Game Pass arrivals of Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remakes in early 2023. Even though Resident Evil 4 Remake is nearing its two-year anniversary, bringing it to Game Pass would allow even more players to experience its renowned thrills and chills.
And the excitement doesn’t stop there. With Assassin’s Creed Shadows—taking the series to Feudal Japan—on the horizon, Assassin’s Creed Mirage would be an excellent addition to Game Pass. This could offer a compact experience in anticipation of Shadows’ big launch, perfect for those looking to get a taste of an Assassin’s Creed adventure.
Lastly, Civilization Revolution should not be overlooked. With Civilization 7 rolling out to mixed feedback, revisiting the streamlined, console-friendly experience of Civilization Revolution, released in 2008, could be a strong move. It’s already available via backwards compatibility, so adding it to Game Pass would certainly be appreciated by those looking for accessible strategic gameplay.
These potential additions could make March an exciting month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, offering a blend of nostalgia and fresh content to keep gaming enthusiasts entertained.
