Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is set to make its grand debut on February 11th for both PC and console players. But in an exciting twist, Firaxis and 2K Games have also announced a special version of the game heading to Quest this spring.
Exclusively crafted for Meta Quest 3 and 3S, this version lets players dive into the world of civilization-building in a whole new way. Imagine constructing your empire from a first-person view, towering over the map like never before with both VR and mixed reality modes.
Developed by PlaySide Studios in collaboration with 2K, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII – VR is gearing up to deliver solo adventures and thrilling online multiplayer experiences. Got friends with a Quest 3 or 3S? You can challenge up to three of them to join you in crafting strategies and conquering new lands.
But it doesn’t stop there. The game brings to life the series’ iconic world leaders, putting you face to face with them. Whether you’re forming alliances or declaring war, expect these leaders to react in real-time as your strategies unfold.
While we’re still waiting on a firm release date, 2K has penciled in a Spring 2025 window following its teaser at the recent Civ World Summit. In the meantime, eager strategists can head over to the Horizon Store to wishlist Sid Meier’s Civilization VII – VR for the Quest 3 and 3S.
